This picture pretty well sums up our final day at Disney World. Apparently there was a tropical storm, Debbie (which we aptly nicknamed "Debbie Downer") just off the coast that was bringing in torrential rain. We were not about to let it get in the way of our fun at Epcot though, so dressed in ponchos and flip flops we ventured out into the tropical storm and had a blast!
Yep, 100% chance of rain ALL DAY!
Our first stop at Epcot was at the Finding Nemo ride which Owen and I rode and loved. You board a little clam mobile and journey under the sea with all of the characters from Finding Nemo. Owen liked it so much he wanted to take Robert on too so they went for a second ride while I sat with sleeping Peyton.
Owen was running to tell Robert about the ride and that he wanted to ride with him next.
After the ride Robert and Owen walked around inside the Nemo Pavilion where they have an aquarium full of fish and sharks and lots of other interactive fun things to do. Then I took Owen over to Figment where we went on a fun adventure through the senses with a trouble making little purple dragon. Again, Owen liked it so much he wanted Robert to ride too, and since there were no lines we were happy to let him go as many times as he wanted.
We tried to check out a few more rides at Epcot but many things were closed due to the rain. So before leaving we headed over to the Mexican Cantina in Mexico that we had found on our first night and enjoyed a final delicious meal at Epcot. Then we boarded the monorail again (this time with a more direct route in mind) to the Magic Kingdom so Owen could ride Splash Mountain once more. We got there to find no line for Splash Mountain and since we were already soaked we took turns taking Owen on the ride...a total of 5 times that day! So fun!
For our last ride we went ahead and bought the picture that they snap on your way down the mountain. We were soaked, but it didn't matter, we were having so much fun!
As the rain continued to fall steadily harder and harder we went back to the hotel to dry out and rest. After an hour or so we dressed in some dry clothes and dried our ponchos and went to Disney Hollywood Studios for dinner. We were going to try to ride Star Wars one last time, but it didn't end up working out. Still, we had a fun dinner at the 50's Prime Time Diner and wrapped up our last day.
Poor baby P-so exhausted
Fun pictures while waiting for our table-
Owen snapped this picture of us while we waited for our table. We were all a mess, but still had so much fun.
Peyton was such a trooper over the 4 days. She spent so much time in her stroller and eating puffs in high chairs, but she was so good.
And at 9pm at Disney Hollywood Studios our vacation was pretty much over. So many memories, and such an amazing time!
