We spent the morning and a good portion of the afternoon on day 3 back at the Magic Kingdom. We arrived to the park at about 10am after a leisurely breakfast at the resort and a silly bus ride over. (thank goodness for those free, air conditioned Disney Transportation buses!)
Since we had already done a bit in Adventure Land on our first day we headed straight for Tomorrow Land and first went to the Monster's Inc Laugh Floor for a comedy show. The show was really cute and funny and Owen seemed to really enjoy the jokes. After getting out of the show we grabbed fast passes for later for the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin Ride. On our way to Fantasy Land we noticed the Tomorrow Land Speedway had very little wait. So while Robert and Owen got in line for that, napping Peyton and I went to get fast passes for Dumbo. We arrived back to the speedway just in time to see the boys fly by in their race car...and Owen was behind the wheel!
Owen really loved driving the race car while Robert pushed on the gas. He thought it was just great! The timing worked out perfect for us to go back over the Fantasy Land and use our Dumbo fast passes. Owen and I rode that together and while we were on the ride he spotted a new ride right next to it called The Great Goofini Brainstormer. It was a mini version of a real high speed thrilling roller coaster but just the perfect size for an almost 5yr old. There was very little line and Owen liked it so much that he and Robert rode twice! I loved that we were able to do that several times on our trip. Next, we went on Winnie the Pooh where Owen was only mildly impressed, so we headed back to Frontier Land in search of a few more thrills...and on the way Owen ended up in the stocks-
Once we arrived in Frontier Land we headed for Splash Mountain because Owen had been saying he wanted to ride it. We wanted to give him a chance to see the ride in action a few times, and once he did, he was even more excited to ride! So we got fast passes for that and since we had about an hour to kill before our fast pass time we went and explored on Tom Sawyer Island. When our fast pass time came up, Owen and Robert got on the ride and I snapped a few pictures just after they came down the big mountain summit.
You can't see it in these pictures but I was relieved to see that Owen wasn't crying :)
In fact, it was just the opposite! He was smiling and loved every minute of it!
Just as the boys were getting off of Splash Mountain it started sprinkling, so we took our fast passes from that morning and went on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. At first Owen thought he was going to be scared because Emperor Zurg made an appearance, but soon he realized it wasn't scary and he really enjoyed the ride. It was very similar to Toy Story Mania at Disney Hollywood Studios in that you get to shoot at targets throughout the ride to try to earn points.
After we did just about everything we could and wanted to do at Magic Kingdom we decided to board the monorail and head on over to Epcot. It wasn't as straight of a shot as we had expected, but the pit stops at The Contemporary Resort and the Polynesian Resort were still fun :)
Owen gets ready to board the monorail for the first time!
Onboard and ready to ride!

Finally after our adventures on the monorail we made it to Epcot! We headed straight to the World Showcase and walked to Germany where we had delicious frankfurters & bratwurst with sauerkraut, huge yummy pretzels and Robert and I enjoyed a cold, tasty German beer.
Exhausted and done with walking we decided to go back to the resort and enjoy a swim in the Fantasia Pool. It had been sprinkling on and off all afternoon but stopped by the time we got our swimming gear on and we got to enjoy some time in the pool. Afterward it was time for bed...or so we thought. Owen was out, but Peyton decided that night to be awake from about 3-5am. After trying everything, at 4:30am I put her in her stroller and walked her around the resort where she finally fell asleep. I snapped this picture just before heading back to the hotel room and putting her back to bed. Phew! What a day!
