Growing Peyton- 8 weeks

On December 1st Petyton turned 8 weeks old (and officially 2mo old on December 6)! Here are her stats from her 2 month check up-

12/09/11 (2 months old)

Weight- 13lbs

Height- 23in

Head- 15in

Peyton has grown so much since my last post at 6 weeks. She can hold her head up really well now and loves to be looking all around. She smiles A LOT and we even caught her first giggle in her sleep one evening which was so adorable; she must have been dreaming of playing with the angels. 

Speaking of angels, we found out at the doctor that one of them kissed her on her forehead before she came to us leaving her a birth mark called an "Angels Kiss." It's a pretty common birth mark, Peyton's is right in between her eye brows and it darkens when she is crying. It may get darker over the next year but will eventually be gone by the time she's about 5yrs old.  We just think it makes her even sweeter.

Peyton is starting to enjoy time on her activity mat and she usually smiles at her singing star and kicks her feet like crazy. She still hates tummy time so much but the doctor really encouraged us to make sure we are giving her ample time on her tummy throughout the day. Its hard to listen to her be so upset, and Owen thinks we should just give her "back time" instead :)

She continues to eat great as is evidenced by her growth these past 4 weeks! She eats every 3hrs during the day and for the most part sleeps up to 8hrs at night. Sometimes she fusses for her paci and when she gets it back she goes right back to sleep. She does prefer to fall asleep in her swing and often if she is fussing when we hold her just sticking her in swing will put her right to sleep.
