November 6th Peyton turned one month old! Here are her 4 week stats from the doctor-
11/04/11 (4 weeks old)
Weight- 9lbs 11oz
Height- 21in
Head- 14 1/2in
My goodness did these first 4 weeks fly by! What a joy Peyton is to us and we simply cannot imagine what life was like before she was here. At 4 weeks Peyton is becoming much more alert and is awake more often during the day. She is eating like a champ and still wakes up every 3-4hrs at night to nurse. Peyton loves her swing and is still very content in her infant carrier or stroller running around here and there and everywhere. She LOVES her paci and can be soothed by it almost any time she is crying. She has just started smiling and so far, big brother gets the biggest smiles out of her when he puts his face right in front of hers and talks.
We found out at the dr that one of her metabolic screening tests from the hospital came back with less then desirable results so we had to get her retested. She was amazing during the heel-prick test and thankfully the retest came back completely normal. Her umbilical stump finally fell off at 4wks and left a slight irritation but after being treated with silver nitrate has healed up perfectly.
Since the last update Peyton has visited a pumpkin farm and Owens school, had her first bath in her puj tub, celebrated her first Halloween and dressed up as a pumpkin, tried her first bottle, and attended her first church service at NCC Potomac Yard! What a busy girl!
