We stayed put this year for Memorial Day which was so fun because many of our friends did as well! We were able to spend time enjoying the beautiful kick-off-to-summer weather with picnics and cookouts and even our very first berry picking experience!
We headed out west about an hour to go strawberry picking with the Smiths and the Mongellis at a "pick-your-own" farm. It was so much fun, and the kids especially liked eating the strawberries and chasing the chickens :)

Afterwards we were all pretty hungry (despite the amount of strawberries consumed during the picking) so we stopped in at a winery and had a wonderful last minute picnic near the vineyard.
What a gorgeous and fun day spent with some of our favorite friends :)
