Two Hunts, Egg Coloring & A Basket

A title like that can only mean one thing...Easter time! And what a fabulous and fun packed Easter it was this year.

We kicked off the festivities with our church's annual Easter EGGstravaganza by hitting the two Northern Virginia egg hunts. The first was in Kingstowne, and despite the pouring rain and chilly temps the kids still had a blast looking for eggs scattered along the mini golf course.

Next up was the EGGstravaganza in Ballston and thankfully, the weather cooperated allowing the children and parents to stay mostly dry. It was such a fun time with face painting, bounce houses and a sea of Easter Eggs for collecting.
(and yes, Owen only chose Orange eggs to match the orange one that was painted on his hand)

Next on the Easter agenda was coloring eggs. Owen was super excited about dipping the eggs in the dye and watching them change, and he was very good about being gentle and not breaking any.

Finally, after all of the fun leading up to Easter morning, the Easter bunny arrived with a basket overflowing with goodies! That sneaky bunny left a trail of eggs leading up from Owens room, down the hallway, past the kitchen table and to the back door where the basket was waiting!
And lastly, our rather unsuccessful attempts at getting a family photo before church on Sunday...
