The Second Half

At the end of March Robert ran his second 1/2 marathon taking part in the National Marathon with our friend Mike who ran the full marathon. This is one of the only races in the area that takes places solely in Washington DC, without crossing into Virginia or Maryland as most courses do. It was a chilly morning, but we headed out at 6am to drop off the guys and stake out a good spectating spot on Constitution Ave in between the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument.

After watching the guys pass by we ran over (pun intended) for a quick breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts. Then we headed to the finish line where we made it just in time to see Robert cross and later, Mike as well! Both of them agreed it was not the best race they had ever run, but we were all still very proud of their accomplishment and ability to finish the race. Great job guys!

(Thanks Kristy for wonderful pictures!)
