In early August we planned a last minute visit with Roberts cousin Laurie and her 3 boys. She had one final weekend to kill in the summer and we were so happy when she asked to come spend it with us in DC! Owen was very excited to have his "brothers" come stay with us and having a house full of young boys was just as much fun and chaos as we anticipated it would be :)
The weekend started out a bit hairy- first with them being delayed a day because of one of the boys being sick, and then because the night they drove in, Alexandria (and our neighborhood in particular) got hammered with severe storms and wind which knocked down more then 50 trees in the area and the power for several hours. Thankfully, we weren't too adversely affected by it all and managed to fit so many fun things into the 3 days we had together.
