May 6th Peyton turned 7 months old! It seems like she is growing and changing daily, and she is so much fun and such a happy girl.
In the past 4 weeks Peyton has really been enjoying trying new foods. In addition to her oatmeal cereal she now eats prunes, bananas, peas, sweet potatoes and squash. She seems to really like all of them, though peas are probably her least favorite, and if the bananas are not mashed enough she dramatically gags down every bite. She also started using her sippy cup and its so funny to watch her shocked reaction when she actually gets a drink of water to come out of it. Once she does it the first time, she typically can drink a few more times per sitting but then seems to forget by the next time her cup is in front of her.
At about 6 1/2 months (the week of April 21st) she really started sitting up on her own and now she rarely unintentionally falls over. If she does though, her feelings get very hurt and she cries and cries. She's very sensitive that way :) She seems to love the new view of the world from her sitting up position, and she still likes to roll around on the floor when laying down.
Peyton loves her new saucer and though she took a bit to warm up to it, now she will hang out in there for quite a while. She just loves to be wherever everyone else is, so weather she is on the floor, in the bumbo, in the saucer or being held, she just wants to be where her family is. She is just such a sweet baby girl.
