On February 6th Peyton turned 4 months old! Here are her stats from her 4 month check up-
2/10/11 (4 months old)
Weight- 15lbs 3oz
Height- 23 3/4in
Head- 16 1/4in
Peyton is such a smiley, happy, easy going baby; we are so blessed by her! This past month she has really started laughing a lot and loves to be entertained by our silly noises and her brother's silliness in general. She smiles almost any time someone makes eye contact with her and she loves to be with people. She now knows if she is left alone on her activity mat during dinner time and wants to be where we are. The same goes with her car seat, as long as she can see us, she is fine, but as soon as we shut the door and start driving she lets us know she is not happy.
Over the past 4 weeks she has really starting reaching out to her toys and grabbing for things. She can hold a toy in her hands and bring it to her mouth and she can also take out and play with her paci. Sometimes she can get it back in and other times she just gets frustrated with it. But more and more she is finding her hands and thumb to suck on so we'll see if she develops a preference other then the beloved pacifier!
Peyton still eats every 3 hours though she can typically go longer if needed. She is pretty flexible with her eating schedule these days. She still sleeps a minimum of 6hrs straight, and has gone as long as 9, but we haven't fully figured out that schedule yet. Typically she still wakes for an early morning feeding between 3:30 and 5:30am but thankfully she then goes back to sleep until 7:30.
This month Peyton has started staying in the church nursery both with me and without me and does great as long as she is fed. She started sitting in her Bumbo seat and seems to enjoy it, and she also spends time on her activity mat and in her bouncy seat throughout the day. Tummy time is getting better since she can now roll from her tummy to back pretty regularly. She is sitting up straighter now and with less assistance and I can tell within the next several weeks she'll be perfecting sitting up on her own. Such a fun time!
